Entry Level Mechanics must be familiar with a wide range of automotive parts and how they work in order to correctly diagnose mechanical problems. They need the technical ability to use computer diagnostic and testing equipment. You will initially be under the supervision of a qualified Technician. You will be involved with routine servicing and lubrication of buses and automotive vehicles or mechanical equipment; performs minor and moderately complex mechanical work and assist the Technician with journey-level maintenance and repair work.
Career path: This is an important place to start one’s training. Initially, you will work under the supervision of the Technician. As you undertake training and master your skills you will pursue a career such as a Technician
Pre-Requisites:
Certain companies prefer their potential candidates to have some basic mechanical insight. Our college can conduct an Aptitude Assessment to establish whether the individual has the necessary Aptitude for becoming a Technician.
