This is the first in the series of 4 Levels for apprentices who are working with heavy duty.
CAREER PATH:
A CBMT motor apprentice will start his/her training at this level and will be expected to acquire the essential skills in the workshop environment.
Competency-Based Modular training focuses on practical and theoretical knowledge. You acquire essential skills in the workshop environment which means you have started work in your field. Before the learner can progress to the next level he/she must achieve 80% plus on this level.
CAREER PATH:
A CBMT motor apprentice will continue his/her training at this level and will be expected to acquire the essential skills in the workshop environment.
By now the learner will have a host of newly developed and honed skills, which will be furthermore increased in this course which covers cylinder head removal and assembly procedures, advanced engine overhaul and measuring, battery servicing and basic auto electrical testing of charging systems and ignition systems and Vehicle braking systems inspection and repair.
CAREER PATH:
A CBMT motor apprentice is now more confident at this level and will be expected to contribute significantly to the workshop environment.
This is the final level in this series. This course covers advanced mechanical areas needed to ensure the student will be fully capable of working without restriction when completed.
CAREER PATH:
After successfully completing the CBMT motor mechanic Level 4 he/she will become a qualified Motor Mechanic.
Pre- Requisites: Grade 12 with Maths and Science.
Duration: 40 Days (10 Days per level)
